This is the place to find all the worldbuilding related to my personal interpretation of the SIGNALIS universe. This will include overviews of all my original Replika models (and also models that exist in game that don't get any overviews) & other related worldbuilding information that my current stories build off of. This would have been previously found in the page for The Reconstitution of a Human Being, but I've moved it here because it makes organizational sense.

Type: Generation 6 High-Tech Bioresonance Security Unit
Frame: Biomechanical with Polyethylene Shell and Bullet-Resistant Armor Plating
Height: 220 cm
A boon to any security force, BZSR units are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing squads of STAR and STCR units, with the added bonus of being able to work alone. Their bioresonance module allows them to detect bioresonant Gestalts in the general population, though their ability to influence the minds of others is severely limited in comparison to KLBR units.
Despite this, BZSR units are versatile, able to be deployed in a variety of applications ranging from general security to counter-espionage operations.

Given that the neural template for BZSR units was originally a police officer, they are normally stable and highly loyal, especially when working alone or with other non-bioresonant Replika units. However, Persona degradation tends to accelerate when around degraded bioresonant Replika units (ex. KLBR units) due to the inherent vulnerabilities a bioresonance module brings.
When placed among a squad of STAR units, the BZSR unit’s strong will may cause friction between it and the rest of the squad when it comes to promotions within it. As such, it is important that their ego is properly tempered. Badges or handguns (especially of a higher caliber) typically work best as Fetish objects.

Type: Generation 3 Construction & Civil Engineering Unit

These units are unrivaled when it comes to constructing buildings and other civilian & military infrastructure. As such, HTHR units have become ubiquitous across the Nation. In particular, many HTHR units have been deployed to Vineta, where their strengthened hydraulics (compared to the original MNHR frame) help with salvaging derelict buildings from the seafloor and performing construction and repair work underwater.

⌈Replika Known Issues: HTHR⌋
HTHR units have a sociable and boisterous personality. As such, they work best in groups of around 5-10 units. However, when working around other replikas not based on the MNHR frame and gestalts, their tendency to roughhouse may cause accidental injuries. Safety training is mandatory for all HTHR units and must be done once every 180 cycles. HTHR units, ironically, do not mix well with MNHR units, so it is best for underground construction teams to make them stay as far away from each other as possible.
It is best to provide the HTHR cadre with a workshop which includes a lathe and mill, especially for woodworking purposes. The objects they make using these machines serve well as Fetish objects.

Type: Generation 5 Espionage & Subterfuge Unit
Frame: Biomechanical with Titanium-Reinforced Polyethylene Shell
Height: 175 cm
These replika units are the premier spies of the Volksarmee’s intelligence arm, able to change appearance via their interchangeable face template. These ‘masks,’ as they are colloquially referred to, can be made to look like any female Gestalt, hiding their true replika appearance. WRGRs have proven extremely effective, especially in the preparation for the liberation of Vineta.
In terms of combat, they are most suited to take out one target at a time with their service pistol and melee weapon.

⌈Replika Known Issues: WRGR⌋
WRGRs work best when operating in groups of 3 at most, each wearing a different face template. No two WRGR units that work together should wear the same face templates as each other at any time.
To prevent Persona degradation, each WRGR unit should have a default face template that they can reference as their ‘self.’ Certain types of sidearm tend to work best as their Fetish objects (karambits are especially effective), though handheld puzzles may work just as well (however, keep in mind that they switch puzzles often).

Type: Generation 5 Kosmo-Ingenieur Specialist
Frame: Biomechanical with Carbon-fiber reinforced Titanium Shell and Titanium Skeleton
Height: 170 cm
Built with an exoskeleton that easily resists the pressure gradient between its body and the vacuum of space, ODTR units are the main Replika type used in the maintenance of orbital platforms and spaceships which would require extravehicular activity (EVA). They are equipped with an internal oxygen module, a hydrazine thruster module, and internal gyroscope which allows them to move through space while maintaining life support during EVAs.
They are also capable of rescuing other personnel that are at risk of asphyxiation in space, whether within or outside a spaceworthy vessel.

⌈Replika Known Issues: ODTR⌋
Due to the quirks of the ODTR’s neural template, they have a tendency to freeze up in fear, especially in stressful situations when alone. To compensate for this, ODTRs should work in pairs during EVAs and be evacuated inside when their orbital platform is attacked during an EVA. Allowing them to socialize with EULR units stabilizes their Persona. Do not force an ODTR unit to venture into tight spaces or wield any firearm.
Further Persona stabilization can be achieved by providing them with an observatory and books on astronomy.

This unit was designed specifically to capture imperial ships directly during combat. Equipped with similar modules to ODTR units in addition to electromagnetic foot attachments to help them attach to enemy vessels, these combat-ready Replikas have seen great success accomplishing their function. Due to this success, they have been employed in an expanding range of facilities, most commonly serving in O-series facilities as security.

⌈Replika Known Issues: RSAR⌋
Because the neural template of RSAR units is a Kitezhian defector, they are to be closely monitored. Great care is to be taken when it comes to the media they are exposed to, and reminding them of the Nation’s stance on spiritualistic matters helps to stabilize their Persona. Lucky charms, most commonly handmade statuettes, may be kept as Fetish objects, though the commander of each facility may impose alterations as to the appearance of each unit’s charm at their discretion.

As the first bioresonant-capable Replika unit, the role of the KNCR unit has evolved greatly over the years. These units currently serve as high level administrative units, governing sectors across the various planets under the Nation’s control. They also serve as ship captains in the Eusanische Weltraummarine, with each having a cadre of KLBRs subordinate to them. Previously, they served in a role analogous to that currently occupied by FKLR units, though KNCRs occupy a subordinate role to them as of the current epoch.
Newer versions of this model have been fitted with Generation 6 Bioresonance modules, ensuring the longevity of this unit’s service.

KNCR units tend to sequester themselves in their offices; this is a sign that they are undergoing a self-contained bioresonant feedback loop, and all effort must be taken to stop it. Their subordinate KLBRs are perfectly suited for this task, though EULRs have also performed well in the past. Like KLBRs, if their Persona starts to degrade, they must be decommissioned and replaced immediately.
Each KNCR must be issued a miniature zen garden for Persona stability. They are to make entries in their diary twice per cycle: once upon waking, and once before sleeping.

These units form a significant portion of the Volksarmee’s manpower, working in conjunction with Gestalt soldiers and officers as its grunts. Due to their neural template being skilled in a wide variety of combat situations and being able to use almost any firearm, EUMR units have proven incredibly effective in the war against the Empire, both in direct combat and in training Gestalt soldiers.

EUMR units tend to have longer service lives and are remarkably stable (not counting damage/fatalities in combat). However, Persona degradation is still an issue: if any EUMR shows signs of depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, or general disillusionment with the war effort, they are to be decommissioned immediately. They are to be allowed a trophy item obtained during combat as a Fetish object. During peacetime, they may also be allowed to decorate their helmets.

NDARs serve in both civilian and military roles, acting as paramedics, firefighters, combat medics, and so on. Their heat-resistant shells, combined with their exosuits and their cool-headed Persona, ensure that they are equipped for hazardous situations, ranging from fires to chemical weapon attacks.

NDARs should not be given rations containing any kind of seafood to avoid resurfacing of Gestalt memories. Their accommodations should also come with at least one vivarium for them to tend to; however, in combat settings, this may be substituted for a digital simulacrum of such an enclosure. Do not break these items in front of any NDAR unit. If these requirements are met, their Personas will remain stable for a long period of time.

An integral part of all medical staff, BMFR units specialize in operations medically-trained EULRs cannot perform: surgeries, implantations, and transplantations are among those performed by these units. With a strong stomach and high tolerance for trauma, these units are able to remain calm during life-threatening operations.

BMFRs are among the most asocial of Replikas produced by the Nation. It is recommended that at least one person (Replika or Gestalt) befriend any BMFRs in service to ensure that socialization is undertaken. Once a unit’s motor control begins to deteriorate, they are to be decommissioned immediately. Nation-approved horror literature and small grotesques may be distributed to them as Fetish objects.

Type: Generation 4 Amphibious Naval Unit
Frame: Biomechanical with High-Density Polyethylene Shell and Bullet-Resistant Armor Plating

These units were partly created to help facilitate the Liberation of Vineta, and partly to cover the shortcomings of HTHR units: mainly maneuverability and the ability to navigate through small gaps to facilitate rescue operations. Since the Liberation of Vineta, these have not been produced in as substantial a number, but are still utilized in underwater surveying, navigation, and maintenance applications. SWNRs are also used to train Gestalt divers and amphibious troops.

Like all Replikas, these units were designed such that their faces resemble their Gestalt template's as much as possible. However, it has been noted that, since 84/12/20 Vineta Time (43.8c Rotfront Time, 84-21-D Leng Time), these units have had a chance of spontaneously developing premature achromotrichia (a condition which had started to affect the Gestalt template before preservation). If this occurs, they are to be decommissioned immediately. The SWNR's Gestalt template also has a mild phobia of spaceflight; other units, especially EULR, EUMR, or ODTR units, should be conditioned to befriending SWNRs during spaceship transport to prevent Persona degradation. Bracelets or watches work best as Fetish objects.

Quiet, stealthy, and flexible, these units are naturally suited to their role as snipers, supporting allied units from behind front lines. Their enhanced vision and excellent marksmanship allows them to neutralize targets from up to a few kilometers away with their sniper rifles. They may also be equipped with anti-armor rifles, allowing them to serve as a lighter alternative to SAPR units should the situation call for it. Increasingly, civilianized versions of these units are being used to neutralize violent dissident groups within the Nation.

⌈Replika Known Issues: STKR⌋

STKR units are naturally reclusive and do not interact with any people much outside of formal or professional contexts. When on the battlefield, they are capable of accomplishing their assigned objectives, whether that be on their own or in conjunction with other units, without much interference. Attempting to befriend an STKR unit while on duty may cause rapid Persona degradation and is punishable under the Volksarmee Integrity Act. To stabilize their Persona, their rooms should be soundproofed. Should an STKR show signs of slight degradation, SSRIs may also be prescribed for stabilization purposes.
Fellow comrade, this is an informational guide to the planets and star within the system of Eusan, for your information and so that you are informed of the parts of the great machine that our Nation is going to assemble by bringing all planets together to continue our Revolution.
The heart of our solar system, providing the necessary energy for life to flourish and subsequently leave Vineta. It serves as a symbol for the perfidious Empire, whose so-called ‘Solar Mandate’ forms the basis of monarchical rule. Researchers are investigating ways to harness the entirety of its radiative energy in the future.
A world not yet colonized by the time the Great Revolutionary severed the bond between Heimat and the Empire. Its eccentric orbit and proximity to the sun make Klimaforming difficult, but its vast iron reserves may prove tempting enough for the imperial menace for it to establish mining outposts to supply its military and industry.
A world enveloped by toxic clouds of sulfur and the capital of the Empire. Floating cities dot its cloud-tops, with the atmosphere at that level being non-toxic and breathable for people; a miracle in Klimaforming, in other words. Its liberation is inevitable.
The cradle of our civilization, ravaged by an intense conflict between our Nation and the Empire. It and the Urmond (the ‘original moon’) are currently being rebuilt, with the Urmond having been torn asunder by an imperial superweapon during the conflict. While the moon’s pieces are being reassembled quickly, life on the now-flooded world (the floods were also caused by an imperial superweapon) remains harsh due to transits of Kitezh between it and the outer solar system which the Nation calls home. Lingering imperial remnants and other counter-revolutionary groups also reside on the blue marble, which has made governance difficult.
Both a breadbasket and an industrial powerhouse, this planet is the one remaining lifeline the Empire has. Once its liberation is complete, its massive food & raw materials production will provide the necessary conditions needed for the complete and total annihilation of the Empire.
Two of the largest asteroids within the asteroid belt between Kitezh and Rotfront which the Nation is planning to colonize. Their close proximity to Kitezh may tighten the noose around the Empire’s neck due to the strain potential military installations on the asteroids will have. The belt is also the current front line between our Nation and the Empire. Our Nation is currently exploiting resources from asteroids within the belt to supply the war effort.
The largest gas giant in the entirety of the solar system, with its iconic red storm (called ‘The Red Eye’ by Rotfronters) serving as backdrops for the new colony’s sky. Its four largest moons are Boudica, Rotfront, Spartakus, and Samo. Rotfront is the newest colonized celestial body within the system, providing a safe haven for Nation citizens. Klimaforming is still ongoing, with recent bioresonant anomalies hampering the effort.
The second-largest gas giant within the solar system, its beautiful rings have become an iconic image along with the hexagonal storms on each of its poles. Our Nation’s heart, Heimat, orbits this planet. Safely tucked between Leng and Prometheus, the capital, save for sporadic and often underwhelming imperial incursions, has enjoyed a period of unparalleled peace.
The two smaller ‘ice giants’ within the solar system. Having fewer moons and thus less useful materials to exploit than either Nüwa or Prometheus, they serve as checkpoints between Heimat and Leng and nothing more.
The industrial powerhouse of our Nation, providing the largest raw materials production out of any celestial body in our control. As one of the original two celestial bodies to secede in favor of the Revolution, loyalty to Heimat is strong. It and its moon Kadath are tidally locked with each other, and it is the safest celestial body in our Nation due to its sheer distance from the inner solar system.
A colossal volume of comet-filled space surrounding the Sun. Not much is known about this region of our system, save for the fact that there may be a planet out in its reaches. The Penrose Program, in addition to projecting our power into this space, may also find this ‘Schattenplanet’ in the future.
HVG-B - Hochsicherheitseinrichtung zur Verwahrung bioresonanter Gestalten (High-Security Facility for the Containment of Bioresonant Gestalts): Designed to contain & rehabilitate rogue bioresonant Gestalts.
HVG-K - Hochsicherheitseinrichtung zur Verwahrung krimineller Gestalten (High-Security Facility for the Containment of Criminal Gestalts): Designed to contain non-bioresonant Gestalts with criminal records, especially those who have committed violent crimes or treasonous acts against the Nation.
K - Kraftwerk (Power Plant): Any facility that produces electrical power. Facilities under this umbrella include:
KH - Krankenhaus (Hospital): Any facility specialized in providing medical care to citizens of the Nation.
L - Landsicherheitseinrichtung (Land Security Facility): Facilities on planetary surfaces designed to enforce the state security apparatus.
O - Orbitale Plattform (Orbital Platform): Facilities in planetary orbit designed to enforce state security & connect interplanetary transit & logistics networks.
S - Staatliche Bildungs- und Arbeitseinrichtung (State Education & Work Facility): Facilities designed to house & educate citizens of the Nation for specialized employment opportunities.
